I have so many neck issues that I need an honest opinion about but this question box isn't big enough. Help?
No help here. Sorry.: In the lower right corner of the box that contains your name, picture, profile and question, is a little Answer Guidelines link that you can't see. If I click it, I read, "Refrain from any personal diagnosis, prescription or medical advice." There is no substitute for a hands-on assessment by a live doctor in a brick-&-mortar office. Sorry, HealthTap is not the source for the answers you seek. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Difficult question but would appreciate honest answer. Life expectancy for 21 y.O. Diabetic A1c 9.0. Past been up to 11.7. No complications yet.
Honest answer: This depends partly on dumb luck as for anybody else and most of the on whether you choose to be compliant in the future. Almost all teenaged diabetics are noncompliant. Now that you've reached the age of an adult, the joys and responsibilities seem more long-term. Get with the program now and you can expect a life like most everyone else's. ...Read more
Personal preference.: Drinking human blood is a definite no no for many reasons not necessarily stated here, but obvious! animal blood such as that of a cow/steer is just like any other animal organ rich in protein and other nutrients and really no different than eating steak. It's a personal preference. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Risks like raw meat: If we set aside the cultural/psychological "ick" factor, drinking blood is similar to eating raw meat: it can contain bacteria, viruses and other infections which may not be destroyed by stomach acid, and it can upset your digestive system. Infections from drinking somenone else's blood include anything from "food poisoning" to life-threatening and incurable diseases, such as hiv. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I know this question is overused but I need help! i'm 19 and i' recently turned vegetarian will that help me loose weight? And what else can I do?
Exercise: The key to weight loss is not the calories we consume but the calories we burn. Cardiovascular exercise is the most important way to safely and effectively lose weight. Diet is important too, but my belief is that exercise is far more important. If two identical individuals lose the same weight, one through diet and the other through exercise, the one who loses though exercise is healthier. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Sorry i just asked a question, but i recently read that anti depress are considered 'endocrine disrupters' thoughts?
Not sure: I've never heard that expression used before. Antidepressants are mood elevators, and we believe they act on nerve cells in the brain by acting as neurotransmitters. They modulate the brain chemistry in an attempt to relieve the depression. As the main endocrine organ of the body, the pituitary gland, is located in the brain, there are many interactions, including endocrine ones. ...Read more
Probably a silly question but i recently used a collagen mask sheet i got from a Asian market and my cheeks feel tight will it go away?
Yes: Yes sort of silly since these are usually sold to promote facial tightness! But who knows what besides collagen might be in the sheet. You might be allergic to something in it. At any rate, the facial skin "turns over" (the cells die and fall off) fairly quickly, so the tight feeling will go as soon as that happens. Just moisturize with something that is not irritating like Aquaphor. ...Read more

Well I'm 27 and was recently implanted with a pacemaker, was wondering if I can try cocaine at least once? Be honest about it.
No: A person can die from using cocaine, which affects many organs in the body. Cause of death can be from a cocaine induced fatal heart rhythm (not a good idea to challenge the pacemaker to see which fatal rhythms it can save you from), from choking to death after a cocaine induced seizure, etc..., not to mention the possibility of being shot dead while being robbed of one's cocaine or cocaine money. ...Read more
