Cause?: I would be more concerned with the cause than the treatment at first. If it is a bite, no worries...It'll go away. If its more of a viral lesion such as a fever blister, then there are medications (antivirals) that can be used to treat. I hesitate to put a small child like this on antivirals, so it becomes a question of the frequency and severity of the lesions.
