Maybe SLE maybe not.: Diagnosis of rheumatologic disease is generally based on symptoms with support from lab. Sounds like you have a rheumatologic disease and are being treated with a rheumatologic agent perhaps by a rheumatologist. They can explain your particular situation better, but suffice it to say tests are not always right and a single test does not generally make or break a diagnosis.

Dermatologist time: Persistent chapped lips may be lip eczema, which can be treated like skin eczema, using hydrocortisone cream, plus Vaseline or Aquaphor to moisturize. Sometimes, lipsticks or lip sunscreen chemicals are causing allergic reactions on lips. Other times, a person is a primary lip-licker (it's her habit). Once cracked, lips get irritated by routine foods and juices. Dermatologist can sort things out

Address the cause: Seems the treatments you have tried are not addressing the cause. One common cause of rashes is food allergies- common allergens include dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, citrus & almonds- try avoiding for 2 weeks and add back one at a time. You might also be deficient in b vitamins, essential fatty acids or zinc. If these measures don't help consult a holistic md- see http://www. Abihm. Org/search-doctors.

Can someone have lupus even if the only symptom is bilateraljoint pain in hands, shoulder, knees, wrist? (-)rashes, photosensitivity, weakness, fatigue, fever

Of Course; ; Hope No: Lupus erythematosus is a notoriously variable disease process, from person to person ; time to time. Since which portions of their body the person's immune system is currently targeting, ; to what degree, varies widely, the consequences also vary widely. Even with high quality lab, diagnosis is problematic ; while treatment outcome, by only medications, can help, outcomes are rarely very good.

Lupus: Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. In lupus, something goes wrong with your immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs ("foreign invaders, " like the flu).

Is there a home remedy for a rash from an allergic reaction to soap?

Is there a home remedy for a rash from an allergic reaction to soap?

Yes for minor rash: If you truly have contact allergy caused by soap, the first step is to avoid the product. Overuse of soap can cause irritant dermatitis due to over-drying the skin. Fragrances and preservatives in soap can cause allergic contact dermatitis. If product avoidance and over the counter Hydrocortisone do not improve your rash, see you dermatologist.
