HIGH INR: Assuming you are on an anticoagulant and your inr is really 6.2, that is way above therapeutic range and would place you at risk of a serious bleed requiring intervention. If you can confirm that your inr is indeed 6.2, i would recommend going to a different er as soon as possible for another opinion. Needs eval: While I understand your insurance concerns I believe your husband deserves a thorough medical evaluation. If the cause for his symptoms is infectious, only directed treatment will help him get better. Alternatively asthma can cause similar symptoms. Dyspnea d/t anxiety: While anxiety can certainly cause shortness of breath, and you point out you've had no cardiac or pulmonary problems in the past, but do have a history of anxiety -- it's also important to remember that anxiety is a diagnosis of exclusion. See your primary, esp if you have any assoc sxs like cough, fever. With medical causes ruled out, it would be time to pursue a more robust anxiety treatment. ...Read more
