Hollow Sound In Ear When Chewing
I have hollow echoey sound in right ear when I chew sometimes. I'm not sick; it doesn't hurt. Do not have TMJ (that I know). Had for abt 4 wks. Ideas?

This could be coming from your jaw joint eing out of alignment. Did anything happen in the last ten days that changed things regarding your jaw?
Try moving your jaw side to side and open and close your mouth thast might loosen the muscles and remove the sound your having.

Two possibilities: Your eustachian tube can be too open. It normally stays closed and opens with pressure changes or swallowing. If it is open always, it can cause you to hear your own breath sounds. It should get better with lying down. Or you could have a superior semicircular canal dehiscence, which means a compartment of your inner ear has a hole in it. Multiple things: The first could be wax build up in the ears, and the sound is created by slight movement in the tympanic membrane (ear drum). Or it could be a sign of high blood pressure.
