Maybe vocal cords: This is a broad question but the vocal cords would be the first thing i would look at. If one has vocal cord (vc) paralysis or a vc lesion, this can cause hoarseness. With vc paralysis, swallowing may be difficult due to choking or loss of sensation in the larynx. A vc lesion may give a sense of difficult swallowing as well. R/O TONSILITIS: LATYNGITIS and recurrent sore throats can cause tonsillitis . You need to be examined and have a throat culture.
