Persistent sore throat, if fever lasts more than 3 days, of the color of the mucus changes, if any shortness of breath/wheezing/distress occurs then you need to take them to their doctor or the ED. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

11 month old fever: You can approach this in two ways: (1) if the baby is eating well and behaving like his normal self, just continue to watch him/her; (2) if the baby seems to have any difficulty in breathing or is eating less than usual or sleeping a lot more than usual, then s/he should be checked by a doctor. Depends on . . .: Babies ages 3-12 months can easily catch colds from other people. If there is just a runny nose, without much fussiness, without any high fever, without other worrisome symptoms, then parents can leave the nose alone. If the mucous is blocking the nose somewhat, try a few drops of saline, followed by gentle suctioning with a suction bulb. A doctor should examine younger or more symptomatic babies. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My daughter is 2yrs old - symptoms are: runny nose, cough, fever 2 separate days (39.37), congestion, occasional vomiting w/excessive cough?
Hi, I have been feeling unwell for the last 4 days. on/off fever, cough with thick and yellow phlegm, runny nose, hoarse voice and sore throat with difficulty swallowing.
Cold?: Sounds like a viral syndrome. Would treat with symptomatic fixes. Lots of fluids and stay hydrated. Ice blocks are perfect for this. Water, milk, juice, sports drinks are all good. As for the fever it is ok to alternate pamol every 6 hours with ibuprofen every 8 hours. Decongestants and anti-histamines will help with the upper resp symptoms. Rest chicken soups are also good. See Dr if not better in a few days ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
