Leave it alone: Baby acne is triggered by babies high level of maternal hormone levels that sustained the pregnancy. Clamping the cord cuts off new hormone input, but leaving the wet spa of pregnancy puts baby in contact with skin irritants & germs.At 6 wks this is peaking & worrisome. Go see your doctor: Methadone is used either to manage chronic pain or to treat heroin addiction. You didn't mention which but regardless, you need to see your prescribing doc. Methadone & other narcotics should be sedating rather than stimulating. Weight gain can be due to under active thyroid while insomnia can be due to over active thyroid. For how long?: Hives present <6 weeks are often due to food or drug allergy. Could be any food but dairy, egg, wheat, soy, corn, seafood, peanut, sesame & tree nuts are most common triggers. Antibiotics, Aspirin & Ibuprofen are common drug triggers of hives. Herbal remedies & supplements & viral infections are other causes.
