Hiv Test One And Two
Can you test negative for HIV at six months then positive later? Had a third gen test at three and six months .
Hiv infection is caused by a retrovirus....This retrovirus binds to CD4 cells (for the most part). You may detect the virus by several different methods. An elisa test (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay). You may also detect it by doing a test referred to as a western blot (a gel protein electrophoresis). Thirdly by pcr (polymerase chain reaction) which ...Read more
Been tested for HIV five times, four with Home Rapid tests, once at clinic, all negative. If test for Hep C and B come out pos, more HIV tests needed?
If new exposures: If a person has new, risky exposures to HIV, after testing negative, then future testing can be done. The fix here is, of course, to NOT expose oneself to new, risky situations... otherwise, one will either worry all the time, or have to do periodic testing in the future. If one does not stop risky exposures, there is no other way around it. ...Read more
Got two men tested for paternity test on my bby. I only slept with those two about two or three weeks apart. Both test came back negative how is that?
Impossible...: If you only had sex with two men, then one of them is the father. Either there was a "testing error" (labs are reliable, if they got the correct specimen this is very unlikely), one of the two men didn't actually get tested, or you have forgotten about another possible father. Good luck. ...Read more

Im for days late for my period i took two dollar store tests and first one positive and second one negative why?
I took two pregnancy tests today. One at four pm and one at four foutyfive pm. The first was positive the second negative. Which do I belive?
Pregnant: I believe that even the over the counter pregnancy tests recommend using a first morning urine because the reaction depends on a concentration of a compound in the urine. The first test is likely right, the second test was too close to the first so you did not have enough time to build up the hcg. Congratulations! ...Read more
Tested negative for hsv2 three times. Two cultures and one blood test. Could it be hsv1? Genitally ?
Yes to both: Always a possibitlity. Repeat test if needed. That said, does it really matter? Talk to your doctor about the treatment regimen available for each strain (same: anti-viral meds). It used to be hsv-1 was oral; hsv-2 genital. With increased oral sexual activity, the portal of infection becomes irrelevant. Cold sores (oral or genital) are recurrent infections and highly contagious. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more
If an ELISA HIV test is negetive at two months.... What are the chances of the result being negetive after three months test?
HIV Testing: There is absolutely no correct answer to your question. I know you are asking this over and over. Are you hoping for a different answer? Since you continue to ask about the HIV antibody testing there is no right answer. But, by three months the majority of those who are positive will test positive. I do not think there are verifiable statistics for sixty days. ...Read more
