Can you explain?: All swollen lymph nodes are lymps, though they may be deep and you can't feel them. And every male in his twenties, like you, has at least one or two palpable lymph nodes somewhere in the neck. Please do yourself a major favor right now, and go back to your physician and ask to be screened for HIV. Worrying like this is draining you of energy you need for other things. Unlikely: The unilateral involvement suggests that It is more likely from an upper respiratory tract infection or a bacterial infection in areas above the neck at that side (sinusitis, dental abscess etc). You would be much sicker if the problem is from HIV. ...Read more

Asked and Answered: I believe we have already powerfully reminded you that NO this is not a sign of an early HIV infection. Diarrhea and Loose stool can have a thousand different causes. When you add a fever to this you begin to consider GI infection or stress on top of an infection. If you are worried about HIV you go get an HIV RNA test. I know HIV symptoms vary from person to person.But if there is fever+Flu+swollen Lymph node and if it is related to HIV then do rashes also come?
