What is the normal size of lymph nodes in neck in cm?

What is the normal size of lymph nodes in neck in cm?

Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph everywhere for bad stuff like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more

Tested neg for HIV at 4 weeks, now 6 months later I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck that mildly hurt when touched. Do I have hiv? Partner testd ng

Impossible: First we would never, ever guess about HIV. Having swollen lymph nodes does not in any way diagnose one as being HIV positive. Second, you did not test correctly for HIV and the test you report was a complete and absolutely invalid test. It was done two months too soon. Because of this you must do another HIV test. At six months the results will be valid. ...Read more

How often does someone have swollen lymph node in the neck that doesn't have a lump? For HIV in particular does swollen lymph nodes always have lump

Can you explain?: All swollen lymph nodes are lymps, though they may be deep and you can't feel them. And every male in his twenties, like you, has at least one or two palpable lymph nodes somewhere in the neck. Please do yourself a major favor right now, and go back to your physician and ask to be screened for HIV. Worrying like this is draining you of energy you need for other things. Best wishes. ...Read more

I have sub centimeter lymph nodes and rashes on front and back of my neck. cunnilingus on stripper vagina for 1 min, 4 weeks ago, in canada. Not sure of oral health then. Freaking out hiv. Is it ARS?

About Canadians: Keep calm. Cunnilingus with a Canadian isn't the type of carnal activity that causes HIV infections. Cervical centimeter or sub-centimeter lymph nodes have many, many causes, such as common throat conditions. One's regular doctor can check things out. One's dentist can do a twice-a-year dental cleaning. If continued concerns, no more cunnilingus. ...Read more

Doesn't transmit HIV: Many things are possible in life, even if rare, so do the math. There are about 320 million people in the U.S.; 160 million are female. About 80% of them are older teens and adults, which is 128,000,000 people. About 25% of the 1.2 million HIV-infected people here are women, which is 300,000 people. The chance of an UNKNOWN woman just having HIV is 300,000 / 128,000,000 = 0.0023 = only 1 in 500. ...Read more
