Hit toe: Is the toe deformed - is it straight like it was before you hit it? If so and you can walk with a shoe on you should be ok with elevation, rest, protection and intermittent ice. Avoid shoes that hurt. If that does not help or toe is deformed see your podiatrist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Ankle sprained 24 hours ago. Not broken.Swelling is worse after rice.Limited motion in three smallest toes that are now slightly swollen. All normal?
Yes: Very early in the course of ur injury. Rice is good, but elevation means ankle higher than knee & knee higher than the hip. Doing this for a while is not enough u need 2 sleep this way & as much as u can during the first 2-4 days. Blood & fluid run downhill so if up & about it will swell more. Expect many color changes 2 appear also. Takes 4-6 wks 2 heal. B patient & follow ur ortho's advise. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Fell off 2 1/2 foot height, xray show no broke bone yet I have 2 swollen, painful knees, decr. Range of motion, problems stading up, walking & sitting?
See an Orthopedist: Most likely this is sprained ligaments of the knee, maybe even combined with meniscal injury, that are responsible for your symptoms. Initial treatment includes nsaids, crutches, cold compresses, splint(s) and resting them. Generally the bruising gets better, but if no improvement over 10-14 days time, then see an orthopedist for further care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably broken toe: You can bring your shoe to an old-fashioned shoe repair shop where they have "lasts" that they can fit into your shoes and stretch the leather. Treat swelling: With ice and antiinflammatory. If the toe is swollen and painful, likely a surgical shoe wold be helpful as when there is pressure on the toe when a person propulses to walk this will hurt. X-rays may not always show a fracture the first time. I.E stress fractures show up sometime later. But, even if you did not fracture it a contusion at times can hurt just as bad. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
