Submitted a Q earlier about being 29 w/ AMI symptoms w/o history. Got a response about GERD. Would GERD cause feeling of doom or dizzyness/ fainting?

My heart has been randomly racing and sometimes it gives me a feeling like I need to cough. I do have a nasty family heart history. Could this be bad?
My aunt had a "knot" come up on the left side of her neck. It's visible from across the room and when feeling of it it seems to be about 1 in or bigger. She has a strong family history of cancer.
