I have dual pattern speckled centro mere, low positive ana. High availability, positive IgG histone. What does this indicative?

I have dual pattern speckled centro mere, low positive ana. High availability, positive IgG histone. What does this indicative?

Rx person, not labs: The anti-nuclear antibody test is one of the most difficult for a commercial lab to perform, and i've learned to distrust results. If you have crest clinically, i'd consider this supported by your labs; if you have drug-induced lupus clinically, ditto. Ultimately, the diagnosis and the decision to treat or not will be made by your rheumatologist in collaboration with you. ...Read more

Blood work results: "elevated rheumatoid factor & ccp c/w ra; elevated jo 1 (34h) & anti histone (1.2h) antibodies, mng" what should this mean to me?

Blood work results: "elevated rheumatoid factor & ccp c/w ra; elevated jo 1 (34h) & anti histone (1.2h) antibodies, mng" what should this mean to me?

See a rheumatologist: The rf and ccp would suggest RA strongly: the jo-1 can go along with polymyositis, but your rheumatologist would need to see if they thought you have that. ...Read more

recent elevated jo1, histone, muscle pain. How to confirm if polymyositis w/o stopping meds?

Mucle testing: Inflammatory myopathy, including polymyositis, is best diagnosed and treated by a trained rheumatologist. Symptoms are proximal muscle weakness. Abnormal lab tests include elevated muscle enzymes (CPK, AST/ALT); positive antibody tests, including Jo-1; abnormal EMG/nerve conduction test; edema seen on an MRI of proximal muscles; muscle biopsy showing destruction and regeneration of muscle cells. ...Read more

What causes elevated histone antibody levels in bloodworm?

What causes elevated histone antibody levels in bloodworm?

???: I am not sure about a correlation with blood worm and this antibody? Anti-histone antibodies are autoantibodies that are found in 50%-70% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (sle), but I am unawre of a correlation with blood worms? Posibly a pathologist may know of a correlation. ...Read more

+ana 1280. Dsdna 23 iu/ml (<40 is neg), other ENA neg. Not yet tested for histone. Have some symptoms. Is dsdna significant here? Developing sle?

No: Many patients with lupus only have a positive ANA with all other autoantibodies being negative. If the dna was positive, it is more specific for lupus than the ana. The histone is less valuable unless you are screening for a drug induced lupus. ...Read more
