Hip Pain Blood Clot
Someone I know suffered a severe blood clot and one symptom was severe hip pain. Every once in a while I have hip pain too. Should this be a concern??
Most likely not:
It is not clear if the pt had a blood clot in the leg or to the lung. Hip pain per se is not a sign of a blood clot. There is more to the story we have not heard. It is important to note that pain in the hip is not noted to be a sign of a blood clot. If you take BCP it puts you at a higher risk.

Could be pleurisy: If not clearly due to injury, and if the rib areas are not tender to touch/pressure, the source of the pain is internal. Pain with breathing in the chest area is pleuritic pain. Causes vary and include infections, blood clot, other inflammatory conditions and rarely cancer. Severe pain: Severe pain is never normal. Blood clots at age 24 are very rare. The chances that it's something else like nerve or muscle issues is high.
