Check it: I agree with dr. T. Hopefully your pain is due to arthritis or other bone-joint issues but pain in a cancer patient (particularly if always on the same spot or if worsens with time) should be properly evaluated to rule out metastases. ...Read more

Degenerative joint: Djd is a common condition of aging, and may be contributed to by prior trauma, obesity, and other underlying conditions. IBS: Do you have IBS or IBD? There is a difference. Ovarian cancer is not very common, but if you have family history of it, or of breast cancer in first generation family members, you will want to check with your gynecologist for regular exams. Do you have bowel movement changes that point more to colonic issues? An exam by your primary MD and some bloodwork if warranted would be a first step. ...Read more

Finished chemo for stage iiia ovarian cancer in oct 2013. Ca125 was 8 6wks ago and 20 now have large right groin node. Is the ca125 jump a lot? Can incisional hernia cause lymph node to swell?

Seek medical exam: Your oncologist needs to know about this groin node if you have not yet told him.Since your ca 125 is still in the normal range, i would not draw any conclusions but your doctor needs to examine you and guide you. It is best not to follow your disease with ca125 right now as it will likely have such fluctuatiosns, causing you to be nervous and anxious, yet it does not help in making treatment decis. ...Read more
