Is it normal to have a extremely high soft cervix the day your period starts. I was also late five days.
What does it mean to have a high soft cervix around the time ur period was suppose to come but never showed up?
Had a high, soft cervix for nearly 4 weeks. Age 37 - this has never happened before. Not pregnant, no pain or bleeding. What could be causing it?
Does it make sense to have a high firm cervix before period, but high soft cervix during and after? Side note: this cycle included large clumps. PCOS
During your period the cervical opening will enlarge, and the cervix will soften a bit, often it is a bit more soft and filled with blood in its vessels.
Between your periods, specifically before your period, more blood is going to the lining of the uterus so less blood is going to the cervix, making it harder and therefore sitting a bit higher. ...Read more

High soft cervix, with nausea, tender breasts, odd exhaustion and frequent urination. I missed my period last month and have tested neg. Am I pregnant?
Yes: Your cervix can produce a large amount of mucus depending on your cycle. If you notice a foul smell, thick pearly discharge, or brown discharge you should seek treatment. If your period does not come or is irregular take a pregnancy test. I've had high and soft cervix during my period last may 6, and 7, until now it is still high and soft, is this possible? Or could I be pregnant?
Position of cervix in vagina does not tell us anything in regards to whether a woman is pregnant. Best to do home pregnancy test on first morning urine no sooner than 2 weeks after FIRST unprotected sex. If neg, repeat in 7-10 days. If both neg, unlikely you are pregnant.
Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr R ...Read more
Too soon to know:
Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative re do the test in 4-5 days, unless you get a period before then. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex.

Labor indicator: You didn't mention if you're pregnant or not. A high soft open cervix is how a cervix is felt prior to labor. The changes give clues to whether or not you will be able to have a baby vaginally. The cervix starts in the back of the vagina, is hard and closed. For labor to start, it moves forward, gets softer and opens. The more the changes, the better the chances for labor & vaginal birth. ...Read more

My cervix feels high and very soft. I want to know if I am dialated or not. What does a super high and very soft cervix mean in pregnancy. I'm 37w6d?
Maybe: Generally, as the cervix readies for labor, it becomes softer, it "moves down" a bit, and then it starts to dilate. Usually, this is caused by contractions - if you're not having contractions, or any bleeding, or any loss of fluid, then you probably aren't dilating just yet. But your doctor can check at your next visit! If you are having any of those signs, I would go to your doctor sooner. ...Read more
