High Rdw Blood
Need more info: All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the test is usually in the best position to do that. You did not state your question and what you described could well be normal for you. ...Read more
Cbc done - hgb, hct low(10.6/33.3). The mcv, MCH and MCH were borderline low. The RDW high. Donated blood 1 month previous with 12.9 hgb. ? Diagnosis
Not enough data: Most cbc's only tell us what numerically is wrong. The only sure way to tell a CBC is abnormal is to look at the peripheral smear. Your indices indicate that you may be iron deficient, however that requires a thorough assessment for blood loss from the gi, gu and respiratory tract. If you donate blood, you can exacerbate the iron deficiency. ...Read more
MCV very high, MCH high, RDW low. Cl high. Blood in urinalysis . Vitamin B12 is on the low end, but not actually deficient. Any ideas?
How's the thyroid?: High MCV with normal B12 (did we check folate? do you drink?) says hypothyroidism until proved otherwise, and I see you've also listed this as a health problem. Don't worry about it: if everything else was normal, it doesn't mean much. ...Read more
My recent blood test showed , ESR and RDW levels slightly high, and hematocrit level decreased slightly. Should i be worried?
Lab data: Difficult to comment on lab results without clinical correlation, but you are slightly anemic and if this is iron deficient anemia it may be because of bleeding during your period and may require iron supplementation. The increased ESR and CRP are probably of no consequence. Get an answer to why your hemoglobin is low. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
