High Lymphocytes Hiv
I have high platelets, low MPV, low lymphocyte percentage, low MCH, high segmented neutrophils, high atypical lympcytes, high reticulocyte count?
Any symptoms?: Why did you have these tests done? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would have helped to have the actual values rather than your interpretation of high and low. It would prudent to discuss it with the doctor who ordered the tests. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
Hiv infection is caused by a retrovirus....This retrovirus binds to CD4 cells (for the most part). You may detect the virus by several different methods. An elisa test (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay). You may also detect it by doing a test referred to as a western blot (a gel protein electrophoresis). Thirdly by pcr (polymerase chain reaction) which ...Read more

What does it mean if i have high wbc count, high segmented neutrophils, low lymphocytes, high neutrophils, low lymphocytes, high monocytes?
Nothing by itself: I'm a pathologist with a life devoted to lab testing and the mysteries of diagnosis. These results mean nothing apart from a human being and her health history & physical exam. These could be my labs after my first open-water swim of the season while it's still chilly. Reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside. How do you FEEL? I suggest you relax & ignore this. ...Read more
Ebv capsid ab IgG 1:580. Positive ccp antibody igg, sed rate, high RDW and mpv on cbc.Liiver alt, AST elevated. Any ideas?
No: The absolute monocyte count seldom tells us much in isolation. If by "low iron" you mean a low serum iron, you need it interpreted; if by "low iron" you mean a low hemoglobin / hematocrit, you are anemic and this is serious. High liver enzymes require a workup for alcohol and drug toxicity, hepatitis, hemochromatosis, wilson's & others. Never focus just on labs. ...Read more
Means nothing alone: Please forgive my frankness. This mishmash of lab results is meaningless apart from your history and physical exam. Reference ranges for labs are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside on either end. If you feel well, ignore them. The high hs-CRP may be a heads-up that you've got more atherosclerosis than you think. If you feel well, ignore the rest. ...Read more

Adnorm. Blood & cfs results: high: CSF protein-47, high cfs albumin-30.9; low total protein-5.7, low gamma globulin-.5, low IgG quantitative -621 worry?
CSF: Some experts consider CSF protein levels to be normal if the value is equal to or below your age in years. I don't think in your case there is a reason to worry. Other CSF components are important as well. Check with your physician to see if there is any reasons to worry. Hope you feel well soon. ...Read more

I have CBC test where monocytes are high, liver enzymes ALT high; also EBV IgG positive, CMV IgG positive CMV IgM normal.. Hiv negative at 32 weeks.

Having said that, it would help to have the actual values of the results. The one item of interest is high ALT. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely for three months and redo the test. In blood test. Neutrophils low. Lymphs high Monocytes high .But only reading high on absolute was Granulocytes and Neutrophils. Cause for concern?
How high?: Percentages mean nothing. If your absolute granulocyte count was slightly above the reference range without abnormal forms and you feel well, it means nothing; this fluctuates and a cold shower can double it. ...Read more
Cbc test shows high wbc, low hematocrit, low mcv, low mch, high platelet count, low lymphocytes and monocytes - can you define these for me?
Hard to say...: It sounds like it may be an infection but it's impossible to say without more information including if you have any other signs or symptoms. It is also important to know the numbers: how high is that wbc, for example. The best way to go for you is to discuss it with you doctor directly. ...Read more
Can a elevated WBC (14.1) high neutrophils (69%) low lymphocytes (23%) & large lymph nodes indicate cancer?
Possible, but...: Without knowing more specifics of how the patient is doing clinically as well as the results of other blood tests (like the rest of the cbc), infection would be more likely with this picture (especially the elevated neutrophils). There are definitely other tests that could be performed if cancer was more of a concern, if this was warranted. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can a high lymphocyte reading be a symptom of HIV? Or is a low lymphocyte reading is more indicative of HIV?
Low lymphocyte count last three tests. Went from 17% to 13% to 19% over a year. Range is 22%No hiv. All other normal except neutrophils high. Mean?
High HIV risk in apr12 lowrisk in sep. At sep. Times I have had diarreah toe fungus jock itch 1swollymph. Low lymphocytes but rising. High WBC but getting lower. Tested neg sep12/mar13/apr13. Hiv or?
HIV Test: Hiv antibody testing is highly sensitive and specific, meaning if one has the antibody, the test is unlikely to miss it, unless performed early on before antibodies can be detected. Other tests such as HIV viral load & pcr are available & rarely indicated if the antibody test is normal. Constellation of the symptoms described are more likely due to an isolated etiology than hiv. Practice safety. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Had an elevated WBC at 12.6 with neutrophils at 96%. Does this mean my lymphocytes are low? Does this bring any relation to acute HIV infection?
I have lymph nodes appearing in neck which is under 1cm after ultra sound, all test neg HIV-mono-ebv, elevated lymphocytes do I need bone morrow biops?
Probably not: Such small lymph nodes often are normal, and if the nodes are not enlarging, that's additional evidence against a serious condition. If any sort of biopsy is needed, it would be to remove one of the nodes, not a distant site like bone marrow. May also depend on how elevated your lymphocytes are. Probably nothing more need be done now, but discuss with your doctor. ...Read more
Gerd petechiae enlarge liver no hep some blood in urine 2 Swollen glands neck elevated lymphocytes but hiv neg after 7 months? What could it be help!
Specialist: My advice is to consult an infectious disease specialist. Although rare, seronegative cases of hiv do occur and require a RNA testing to detect viremia although I would expect the specialist to order any appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis in your case after he/she evaluates you. Bring all your test results to the appointment. ...Read more

HIV: There can be marked variations in the WBC differential without an obvious cause. You do not say what HIV test you were given and the time period after exposure that the testing was done. You should receive repetitive tests up to three months after exposure at least. Acute HIV infection may be completely asymptomatic. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can low lymphocyte count 1477 18% affect a neg HIV Ag/Ab test done after 4 mths.I read on the net abt people with low imunity that need six mths.plz h?
No: HIV would have probably dropped it far lower. Lymphocyte counts actually fluctuate wildly even from hour to hour. However, the fact that you asked this question tells me you have some reason to be concerned about having HIV, and this is itself a reason to be tested. In most countries, it's considered wise to be checked yearly if you're dating at all. Best wishes. ...Read more

HIV Fusion & Entry: In order for the HIV virus to enter CD4+ "Helper" Tcells, HIV glycoproteins gp120 and gp41 interact with the CD4+Tcell receptor and CCR5 and CXCR4 on the CD4+ Tcell. There are two FDA drugs that are either fusion or entry inhibitors. The reason these drugs are important is because some patients become resistant to the other classes and these can be used. Is it possible to control cancer(lymphomas) by infecting with hiv, as it can destruct lymphocytes?
Iam negative hiv, hep a, b and c after 2 years post exposure, but i found out I have a low lymphocyte count, could my reults be false negative ?
False Test results: Nope. There are a number of more common reasons for a fluctuating lymphocyte count (i am very curious why any healthy person would be having their lymphocytes tested) but if you were negative for these infections and no new exposures then you are most likely negative for them still. ...Read more
