High Fever In Late Pregnancy
I've been sick 3 times this pregnancy at 3 wks, 12 weeks & 17 wks. Will this hurt baby? I haven't taken unsafe meds, stayed hydrated and no high fever.
Sick?: If by sick you mean things like coughs, clods and sore throats, the answer is that these are seldom of any harm to your baby. I'm have been feeling tired recently, still bloating;if i take a test will it show any results of pregnancy?Or after miss period? Also high fever night

If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and the test is not needed yet. ...Read more

Hard to tell: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. ...Read more
Depends: Depending upon the fever height and its cause, use of anti-pyretics like Aspirin and acetaminophen, combined with tepid towel baths, or immersion in luke-warm water will help. If this is due to heat exhaustion or stroke, this patient should be seen immediately by professionals, and even with ice-baths it may be difficult to control the fever. ...Read more
Antipyretic: Both Acetaminophen (tylenol) and Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) are effective at reducing fever. Some experts suggest using these medications every 6 hours to keep the fever down. A cool (not cold) bath may help. If fever persists, an evaluation should be sought to determine the cause of fever. In some cases, the cause may be a bacterial infection that would respond to antibiotics. ...Read more
