Not much: Unfortunately, there is not much to do about a steroid-associated rash until you're able to get off of it. The best approach is to see an allergist to make sure you're doing everything possible to control the asthma to the point that you don't have to resort to oral steroids for exacerbations. ...Read more

Other Rx: Even though tnfs did not help, there are other biologic agents which have shown good results. One drug is Kineret (anakinra) which works on il-1 ( interleukin-1) instead of tumor necrosis factor (tnf). Be sure to let your rheumatologist know that you are still in pain and that you cannot taper off the steroids. ...Read more
