Is high cholesterol a symptom or a condition?

Is high cholesterol a symptom or a condition?

Condition: A symptom is something that you feel, such as pain, fatigue or anxiety. One can not tell if one has high cholesterol without a test (though high cholesterol may contribute to developing conditions that result in symptoms), so it is a condition. However, high cholesterol may not be as big a problem as most docs believe. See http://www. Spacedoc. Com/cholesterol_articles and my comment for more info. Read more

How can I believe my diagnosis of high cholesterol? I eat a healthier diet than anybody I know!

A great number of factors contribute both to overall atherosclerosis risk and to cholesterol level, and the one that you can do nothing about is your genes. I trust you're already a fitness guy as well; it's perhaps time to repeat the labs and/or talk about medication. Good luck. Read more
