I was doing yoga & suddenly got foot & knee pain. Its been 2 weeks & still the pain is same. When I did standing stretching exercise, it got better.?
Hard to say: There are multiple potential causes and usually a detailed exam can determine the cause. It would seem a little unusual to have injured your knee and foot at the same time (although it is possible), so one cause might be a sciatica. In sciatica, a nerve can be irritated in the back and cause pain running from the knee to the foot. Consider being seen. ...Read more

I have had lateral knee pain for a while and have had an MRI showing nothings wrong, can a broken foot be the cause? Thanks
Abnormal gait- Yes!: A foot injury or fracture can easily lead to abnormal gait or walking patterns and secondarily cause knee pain as the muscles are used in an abnormal fashion resulting in pain and overuse. Lateral knee pain may be from a tight/irritated iliotibial band as it rides across the lateral femoral condyle and inserts onto the top of the tibia. Evaluation by your orthopaedic surgeon is indicated. ...Read more

Pain in right upper thigh slightly abv knee (inner side) and calf with foot numbness on and off and extreme knee pain when sitting, no clots, ideas?
Knee, hip, back: If the thigh problem is immediately above the knee this could be a knee problem (cartilage, bakers cyst, joint problem). Knee pain rarely radiates up the leg. Anything higher up is unlikely to be knee. This could also be referred pain from the hip or back. Knee hyper extended from left foot drop, fitted for afo, however knee pain is worse than last two yrs should I see orthopedist, cortisone inj past?
Need more info...: I am wondering if the foot drop has resulted in a plantarflexion contracture. This would be the likely cause of knee hyperextension due to the plantarflexion-knee extension couple. If this is the case and your AFO is set in too much plantarflexion to accomodate this, this could make it worse. On the other hand, you may simply have knee arthritis. I would see your orthopaedist. ...Read more

Waiting to see foot doctor for clawed toes and pain in big toe but now feels like walking on a marble so walk on outside of foot causes knee pain?
Exam is essential.: Clawing toes can bring about symptoms much like those you describe. Certainly big toe pain can cause you to shift the weight to the outside of your foot. This type of compensation can lead to knee pain. I am afraid that not much can be done until you have been seen in a hands on theater. You might push your referring doctor for an earlier exam date to avoid further complications. ...Read more
