Hi all I had been drinking hibiscus tea for 3 days , 3cups a day , and I felt slight giddy each time I finish , what does it tell ?
Giddy: The first thing to do is to stop drinking three cups of hibiscus tea a day for about a week. If you stop having the symptoms you will no how to proceed. Can my husband drink Hibiscus Tea if he is on Warfarin. He take 5mg. daily. His INR has to be 2.0 to 3.0...Thank you?
Not sure: I couldn't find anything specifically about HIBISCUS tea, but tea in general can both antagonize warfarin (lower the INR) and also promote bleeding by interfering with platelet function which won't show up in the INR. That said, I'll bet a lot of people on warfarin drink tea, so if he loves tea, I'd say use it cautiously and monitor the INR. ...Read more
I drank hibiscus tea and felt nauseaus after. I wanted to vomit and so I did. I felt better instantly. Is that just my body's way of releasing toxins or should I be worried?
Don't be worried: because your body took care of the issue. Hibiscus tea is quite safe, even has some health benefits like reducing blood pressure. Plus, it's tasty! But maybe your body is saying you don't like it, or there was something else in it that didn't agree with you. I wouldn't worry too much about toxins being involved at all. ...Read more

If green tea can help prevent glaucoma, would teas like hibiscus also have this effect, since it has many antioxidants?
Wrong assumption: Green tea has been promoted as a palliative, even a cure, for multiple disease states. There is no evidence for its effectiveness in any of these conditions. That includes glaucoma. So a false assumption, that it can prevent glaucoma, then becomes expanded into - herbal teas and anything containing antioxidants as a curative.
