Dr said don't need HCG trigger shot? Is this ok?

At this point: you do not need a trigger shot: the progesterone of 8 indicates you already ovulated a few days ago, so the trigger will not do anything useful at this point. Congratulations. ...Read more

Lh 16; FSH 11; progesterone 5.5; prolactine 22 comment annovatory : low progesterone level. I have taken progesterone injection feb, no result yet.

Your question is???: This is a good laboratory snapshot of anovulation, which could be from pcos, obesity, adrenal gland dysfunction, among others. As your Progesterone level falls from the Progesterone shot you just received, you can expect a withdrawal bleed (a period). ...Read more

Does the hCG diet (using injections) effect the beta hCG in a quantatative blood test?

Does the hCG diet (using injections) effect the beta hCG in a quantatative blood test?

Beta HCG : A very good question. The pills and injections given in the "hcg diet" will cause blood and urine levels of bhcg to rise. However, two measurements, a week or more apart, should differentiate between pregnancy ( where the levels will rise predictably) and diet drugs, assuming you are taking a constant dose for the diet treatments. ...Read more

Took Clomid (clomiphene) 50 mg, 5 gonal injection, pregnyl injection. Did sex in ovulation days . Why i may not be pregnant?

Took Clomid (clomiphene) 50 mg, 5 gonal injection, pregnyl injection. Did sex in ovulation days . Why i may not be pregnant?

Common: The in general the chance of not being pregnant is much higher than the chance of being pregnant. You may have a 10% chance of being pregnant and a 90% chance of not being pregnant. That is because the treatment does not affect fertilization, take into account egg quality, help the sperm, or deal with the tubes. So the vast majority of women will not get pregnant at any given treatment. ...Read more

Progesterone and hCG levels early pregnancy after ivf?

Progesterone and hCG levels early pregnancy after ivf?

Ok: Most ivf clinics only measure HCG levels approximately 9 days after a day 5 embryo transfer. However, some clinics feel that the combination of HCG levels and Progesterone levels have a more predictive value of a good pregnancy than HCG levels alone. Personally, we only measure hcg. Hope this helps and good luck. ...Read more

Blighted ovum or potential ectopic? My HCG levels doubled, then dropped twice before rising again. OBGYN is recommending methotrexate.

Blighted ovum or potential ectopic? My HCG levels doubled, then dropped twice before rising again. OBGYN is recommending methotrexate.

Good idea: After multiple lab examinations, if there is still nothing seen in the uterus and a rising HCG, you most certainly have an abnormal pregnancy that should be actively managed. A dilation and curettage would help to figure out if the abnormal pregnancy was in the uterus. If it was confirmed that it was not in the uterus, then methotrexate would be a good idea along with continued lab follow up. ...Read more

May beta serum hcg 2.2 or reference renege 10.0 mlu/ml im pregnant?

Unclear results: If your BHCG is 2 then this means that you are not pregnant. A BHCG of less than 5 means that you are not pregnant. If you are saying your BHCG is 10 then this could indicate a very early pregnancy and should be repeated. ...Read more

Expected increase : In early pregnancy hcg levels should come close to doubling every 48 hours. The actual level of hcg can vary widely depending on day of implantation, individual etc and therefore the level of hcg is not as helpful as the amount of rise in hcg over time. Unfortunately early pregnancy is a difficult time when there is no test that will tell you for sure if a pregnancy is normal or not. Hang in there ...Read more

Ovulation: The goal of these medications is to help you get pregnant but the underlying goal is to trigger ovulation. If you did not ovulate then you would not expect to have a regular period. The lack of ovulation causes irregular periods and in the reason you are having to take these medications to get pregnant. ...Read more
