Heterogeneous Echogenic Mass
Have a vulvar mass inside left labia. Ultrasound revealed internal:regular, echogenicity: heterogeneous, solid measuring 10x7mm, no iincreased vascullarization seen inside or surrounding the mass. Dr wants ne to continue with self-exams abd report asap if
My dr suspects PSTT but says I need a biopsy before surgery? The mass is 7 cm and has an adjacent heterogenous echogenic mass against. Isn't a biopsy before surgery a waste of time? I would need additional referrals. Trying to get to uc Irvine quickly.
7 weeks pp with continuous vaginal bleeding. Ultrasound said uterus contains avascular heterogenous mass with bright echogenic component. ?
Uterus pp: After 7 weeks pp your uterus should be of normal size. I would definetly be worried about it and would perform an HCG quantitative to make sure its zero. There are serious pathologies that can ocurr pp or after any type of pregnancy. Also placenta might be retained inside the uterus . Please follow up with your doctor. ...Read more
Mixed echo pattern: Heterogeneous echogenic means ultrasound characteristics of area examined have combination of none, low and high echogenic pattern. This is compared to diffusely homogeneous pattern where diffusely same echo pattern. Certain lesions can be diagnosed by their echo pattern. ...Read more
It is a: nonspecific finding. Hemorrhagic cysts and dermoids, among others, can appear as an echogenic mass. ...Read more
Difficult to say: Sounds like an ultrasound report maybe. It may mean that there is a mass with some solid and some cystic (fluid-filled component). It depends on the modality of the test (ultrasound or ct) and the location as to the diagnostic significance. Please discuss with the doctor who ordered the test and maybe resubmit this question and include more relevant information to get a good answer. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Usually not much: You didn't mention what organ was studied. In most cases, this just describes the tissue with perhaps some fatty tissue or even scar. Fibrous tissue also but all of this is nothing to worry about now. See what your doctor has to add ...Read more
I m 26 yrs old. My left ovary shows a mass of complex echogenicity measuring 4.90 ×4.90 cm. What I need to do for that? ?
Obgyn evaluation: You will need to see an Obgyn and have them do an examination. They will also want to review the pelvic sonogram that showed the complex ovarian mass. After they do this they should be able to determine if this is a mass that will resolve on its own or if surgical removal is needed. ...Read more

What is an avascular hypoechoic, complex cystic mass 3.7 x 2.3 x2.9 , inferior is increased echogenicity 3.7 x 3.3 x 3.0 cm?

Ultrasound shows liver is 16.5 CM sagittally. Liver is markedly echogenic and also heterogeneous and coarse. Whats this mean?
What does "heterogenously echogenic lesion within left ovary" mean? Also says "mild heterogeneous posterior acoustic shadowing".
Indeterminate lesion: By far the most common cystic ovarian lesions are benign functional ovarian cysts. When a lesion doesn't follow a definitely benign imaging characteristics (heterogenous or shadowing) on ultrasound, it requires either follow up to resolution and/or further evaluation including MRI in some instances. Without seeing the images, we can only make guess. Hope this helps. ...Read more
My ultrasound report says that there appears ti be a mass with mixed echogenicity near the pouch of douglas, measuring 8.8cm x 5.8 cm x 7.8 cm.
It is important: that you follow up with your GYN to discuss this result and potential next step in management. He/she may decide to offer a transvaginal ultrasound, or refer you to a GYB Surgeon for a biopsy. Or he/she may simply offer treatment for a condition known. The main principle is to have a close relationship with your doctor. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap. ...Read more
My ultrasound i had done today said i had cortical echogenicity in both yet it could be from the technique vs renal mass. Should i be concerned?
Hmmm: Thats sounds very wishy washy. You either have normal echogenicity or increased encgencity. You should ask your nephrologist if you have one. You definitely dont want to have a possible renal mass. You might need more imaging. Most renal imaging needs contrast - as your radiologist *who is me. ...Read more
