My dr suspects PSTT but says I need a biopsy before surgery? The mass is 7 cm and has an adjacent heterogenous echogenic mass against. Isn't a biopsy before surgery a waste of time? I would need additional referrals. Trying to get to uc Irvine quickly.

Uterus pp: After 7 weeks pp your uterus should be of normal size. I would definetly be worried about it and would perform an HCG quantitative to make sure its zero. Difficult to say: Sounds like an ultrasound report maybe. It may mean that there is a mass with some solid and some cystic (fluid-filled component). It depends on the modality of the test (ultrasound or ct) and the location as to the diagnostic significance. Obgyn evaluation: You will need to see an Obgyn and have them do an examination. They will also want to review the pelvic sonogram that showed the complex ovarian mass.
