Can a kiss with a girl that has herpes on the neck with no visible or oral legions cause herpes on the neck? And if so how long will it take symptoms
Herpes: 90% of those who get herpes do not get lesions, sores or symptoms. Blood testing for an acute exposure takes two routes. There is igm and igg antibody testing. The igm, if positive, is a sign of a new or acute infection. Igg antibodies represents a previous or 'older' infection. One cannot rely upon symptoms to tell them they have been exposed to a new herpes infection. ...Read more
Can I get herpes on my neck from scratching an active sore on my gential and not washing my hands?
Little or no risk: Self-transfer of herpes to another body site is called auto-inoculation. It sometimes occurs during the very first HSV infection, so if you're still in your original outbreak, be careful to wash hands after contacting genitals and avoid rubbing your eyes. But no risk for recurrent outbreaks: the immune system prevents auto-inoculation. ...Read more

How long does tingling happen before first outbreak of herpes. I get itching neck pain lower back pain now tingling for over 4 days now?
This isn't herpes: For initial herpes, usually no tingling before sores appear. Tingling is mainly a symptom of recurrent herpes; in that case, it lasts only a day or two before the outbreak itself shows up. Your symptoms don't sound at all like herpes, which doesn't cause tingling without sores and rarely if ever causes low back pain. So good news, this isn't herpes. See your doctor if symptoms continue. Good luck! ...Read more

I get a herpes blister on my neck. Can I transmit the virus through kissing or intercourse if my parter doesn't come in contact with the sore itself?
Maybe risk orally: If the herpes diagnosis is correct, the main risk is from direct contact with sore. Probably HSV1, originally acquired orally. If so, maybe a chance you have virus in the mouth during your neck outbreaks; probably best to avoid kissing or performing oral sex at those times. It's unlikely you have a genital infection, so no risk from intercourse. She could be tested to see if infected and immune. ...Read more
Yes, but not likely: Each individual place that a herpes virus invades is subject to recurrent appearances (that is what a cold sore is). This can happen in the skin anywhere on your body. However, it would be unusual for 3 separate spots (face, neck and chest) to have outbreaks at the same time if you never had it before. An exception may be if your immune system is very weak (like taking steroids). ...Read more

Herpes: 75% of americans have herpes. 90% of them do not get any outbreak. If you have not had a herpes blood test it is much more likely that you already have been exposed then that this would be a new exposure. And, the bad news continues. Having a sore or not in no way is predictive of contagiousness. Viral shedding happens when there is no sore just as often as it does not happen when one has a sore. ...Read more
Slim: There is a small chance that herpes simplex virus I or II can be transmitted when lesions/sores are not present. It's possible that infected people "shed" the virus without any symptoms. Herpes is not spread by contact with saliva. It is spread by contact with skin where herpes virus is present. It is unlikely, even with a lesion on the lip that kissing someone on the neck will transmit the virus ...Read more

I was told I have a herpes a year ago and I think I might have a breakout on my face and neck. There's a chance im pregnant, would this trigger it?
Doubt herpes.: Herpes typically recurs in the exact same spot every time, and usually a small, confined area, not the entire face and neck. Lots of rashes can be triggered or made worse by pregnancy, however, so you might want to do a pregnancy test, and if the rash persists or worsens, see your doctor. ...Read more
