Hernia Swollen Foreskin
I have swelling of my testicles and foreskin 4 days after my hernia operation pain subsiding slowly after taking paracetimo l?
After my double hernia surgery, my penis seemed to go upinto the scrotum and me foreskin is just hanging there with no penis in it. What should I do?
Don't worry: There is probably some swelling in the pubic area and scrotum, but it will subside in a couple weeks. The penis is still there however.See 2 more doctor answers
Baby umbilical hernia swollen, will this give any problem and any pain to baby due to swollen? And will this stay swollen even when my baby grow up.
It depends.: Hernias in infants are not uncommon, and often close on their own. Your pediatrician should evaluate it as the baby grows to see if it is still present. If it persists, the hernia will need to be repaired eventually. However, if the hernia becomes hard, red, or very tender to the touch, it needs to be evaluated immediately in the emergency room to make sure it is not incarcerated.
I had my appendix out and notice (what I thought was scare tissue). I have been diagnosed with a hernia. I have been getting sick, when it is swollen?
Incarcerated hernia?: I don't quite understand the question. Where did you notice this scar tissue? When you are having a bowel movement? If so it's unlikely scar tissue, possibly shedding of the lining of the intestines which isn't dangerous. If you have a hernia and are feeling pain or vomiting because of it then you need to see a doctor urgently because it could be an incarcerated hernia.
Hernia Bulge: One of the most common signs of a hernia is a bulge in the area of the hernia. A hernia is a defect/hole in the abdominal wall. As a result the contents of the abdomen push through this defect and create swelling in the area. While this may only represents fat from inside the abdomen, sometimes it is intestine. Hernias should be evaluated by your physician and most should be repaired surgically.
I had a hernia repair 3 months ago I started coughing and now my surgery site is swollen, a little hard and soft. Did I re tare it again?
See your surgeon: Very important to see your surgeon soon. If you were doing well and now feel swollen again 3 months after the surgery, it could well be that the repair failed. Make sure you see your surgeon soon. All best!

I've had 5 hernias over years. Most recent was 9 months ago. Incision is swollen, red purple in color, and super sensitive. What could be the problem?
Inguinal surgery nine days ago. Very swollen and hard around stitches. Resembles a hernia that won't go back in. Is this normal?
Infection?: You need to see a doctor ASAP, you may have a wound infection, or the wound may be separating.
Hernia: You should contact the surgeon who did the surgery to re-examine you and suggest what to do next. If the surgeon is unavailable, go to the nearest er.See 1 more doctor answer
Dr. Should evaluate: Abdominal weak spots are at the rt & lft groin. With abdominal pressure or older age, one becomes more likely to get a hernia. A hernia bulge pointing down into the scrotum (men) or labia majora (women) is an "indirect hernia". A doctor needs to check for a twisted testicle (painful emergency!), infection, etc... A hernia may reverse if one relaxes his tummy, while pressing the hernia with a hand.See 1 more doctor answer
Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells/digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph everywhere for bad stuff like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.See 2 more doctor answers
I had an inaugural hernia repair two days ago and my bollocks are incredibly swollen and sore, is this common?
My husband navel is swollen and sensitive to the touch x2 days. No discharge or pain around the area. Could this be an umbilical hernia?
Yes: A hernia here is basically a hole in the adominal wall through which intra-abdominal fat or intestines can protrude. If the intra-abdominal contents get stuck, they can swell and cause a painful lump under the skin. Try to push it back in the abdomen. If you can't, seek medical attention asap. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer
5 days ago I had my appendix taken out. It's still swollen&painful to take steps as well as cough or sneeze. Is this normal or could I have a hernia?
Precisely on rectus abdom attaches to Pubic crest, area is swollen and tender area. Did it with deep ext stretch. Have I given myself an Ingui Hernia?
Probably not: Sounds as if you may have injured the insertion of the rectus muscle, which is pubic symphysis, similar to a muscle strain. It would be unusual for you to have subsequently created a hernia. If indeed you did, it would be a direct hernia, which is the floor of the inguinal canal. Put a heating pad on it, rest it, wait a couple of weeks and if it is still bothering you, see your MD
History hernia & obstruc. For 1 wk when standing up I get bad pains upper abdomin. Can't stand up straight relief only when sit down & Swollen stomach?
ER-now: Symtoms suggest GI irritiation or inflammation. I advise immediate ER elavuation and scanning.
Could be either: Best to let your pcp examine you and get some history. Then appropriate further evaluation or referral can be done.
Pain in groin sometimes a hard swollen lump that seems to go away when I lay down. Esp active durng menst. Tested for hernia + cyst/abscess.
Sound like a hernia: Hard lump that disappear when you lay down sound like a hernia a lymph node or a cyst does not disappear that fast the timing with the menses could make it related to ovary if persisted ask for a gynecologist to perform laproscopic procedure they can see if there is a hernia and fix it and have the chance to evaluate the abdomen and the pelvis
