Inguinal mesh : Any foreign object can cause problems. However the frequent prenatal visits you will have during your pregnancy should prevent anything serious from occurring. Diverticulosis: You might be facing a mild diverticulitis. Make sure you avoid food with nuts and seeds. Avoid red meat. Eat more fruits and fibers and hydrate yourself well. It's possible: Sounds like it might be a bit high for a hernia. If there's a lump under the skin however, it is more likely to be a hernia. In any case, best to get an exam by your primary care doc if it persists or gets worse in order to find out. Hope this helps! ...Read more

I strongly suggest seeking medical attention asap to rule out an incarcerated hernia, though this is unlikely, but potentially life threatening if missed. It could be an inguinal hernia or a femoral hernia and you will need a consultation and treatment by a surgeon.
