TB meningitis: What is the question. Tb meningitis can result in numerous neurologic sequellae, some of which may resolve with time, and some which may be permanent. Hydrocephalus: The MRI scan report suggests that there is dilation of the 3rd and lateral ventricles, but not the 4th. This can happen after a serious brain infection like tb. There is likely some scarring and blockage of the outflow sites for CSF so that it gets blocked. This can lead to a depressed mental status and slow recovery.
