Hydrocephalus: The MRI scan report suggests that there is dilation of the 3rd and lateral ventricles, but not the 4th. This can happen after a serious brain infection like tb. There is likely some scarring and blockage of the outflow sites for CSF so that it gets blocked. This can lead to a depressed mental status and slow recovery. hard to say: Tuberculous meningitis is an uncommon expression of the infection, and in some cases represents rupture or a pre-existing tuberculoma in the central nervous system. If she is not in coma, or having dilated pupils, she is not in imminent danger, and some of her problems could reverse with meds and supportive care.
