Can EMDR therapy cause vertigo and dizziness? I have had nonstop vertigo during my treatment past few months. Worse at night after dreaming.

Unusual: In my experience EMDR is great to treat PTSD, and have never encountered an adverse effect of vertigo and dizziness. This suggests some additional problem, likely within the inner ear. Temporarily, see otolaryngologist, and get answers, and put EMDR on hold. ...Read more

Had positional vertigo for over 10 years.hallpike positive, but after treatment, it comes back mildly usually after I get a cold.vestibular neuritis?

Good case: A cold can make symptoms worse, for sure, but I do not believe that means it is vestibular neuritis. Since you are sensitive to the Hallpike and you feel better with positional treatment, it cannot be just a case of vestibular neuritis. There must be a benign positional component too. ...Read more

Vertigo is Rx: Dizziness is, as many symptoms, has multiple causes, I needed to know what was the first reason, and how it was treated. usually it has to do with the ear, I would treat for sinusitis 14 course and treat with anti vertigo medication during the day is different than at night and usually I had little or no recurrence in young people. ...Read more

"prominent aica branches are compressing 7th & 8th nerves. Have had tinnitus vertigo 10 weeks. Why do symptoms suddenly start what is the treatment?

AICA: The only explanation of sudden starting of symptoms is probably the compression got significant now. The treatment for persistent symptoms is basically surgical decompression. Controversial cause: although the labyrinthine artery, which is a branch of the anterior cerebral artery supplies the middle ear, whether prominence of this artery can cause ringing in the ears is controversial. I would make sure there is not another cause for the tinnitus. such as hearing loss due otosclerosis or hardening of the little bones that conduct sound or some other problem. ...Read more
