Wife has bad chest cold. Coughing yellow phlegm. Sore from coughing, lack of sleep. Takes citalopram and clonazepam for panic attacks, zyrtec (cetirizine) for allergies. What to take now and when to get help. ?
Symptomatic care: Most colds go away on their own and do not need medications, even with phlegm. Fluids, rest, tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain can all be helpful. What is safest way to treat severe anxiety during pregnancy? Not allowed to exercise. Tried meditation and therapy cbt emt. Constant feeling of doom.
Zoloft (sertraline): I think that the safest and most time-tested medication in this situation would be zoloft (sertraline). All of the ob/gyn's that I have met have no problem with their patients being on zoloft (sertraline) during pregnancy. You should however discuss this with your ob/gyn and with whoever prescribes it for you. Best wishes.
