I have encephalitic parkinson since 2009, after initial 18 months there has been no improvement in my rigid limbs and tremors. Is there any treatment?

Yes: Some cases of Parkinsonism do not respond well to L-DOPA, so a different therapeutic approach is advised. Would suggest trial of Stalevo, (carbidopa and levodopa and entacapone) which contains entacapone, which may enhance the Sinemet effect, and you may be better off with a longer duration agonist such as Neupro patch. Would do active physical therapy, and maybe BOTOX, for the rigidity. Find movement disorder center at medical school ...Read more
