Herbal Treatment For Calcification Of The Heart
Is D3 supplementation safe? Saw there is conflicting evidence that it can cause issues such as calcification of heart valves? Better to just use sun?
Vitamin D: Nope. You have this wrong or are reading untruths. You will have a healthier life if you normalize and keep your vitamin d normal. The sun is not necessarily the answer. I read some article online a while back saying that supplementing with vitamin D3 could cause calcification of heart valves/ arteries? Is it safe?
Very safe but...: Vitamin d3 is very safe ; of tremendous benefit for preventing many illnesses. It helps our bodies to absorb calcium. I advise everyone to take d in the fall ; winter months. But it's also wise to take vitamin k (or eat foods rich in vit k) as that helps assure the calcium goes into our bones ; doesnnot wind up in our arteries or heart valves. Incidental: When you do a CT scan for 1 indication, you discover things that have nothing to do with the original reason for doing the test. This happens literally everyday because CT scans provide SO MUCH information. Calcification in the coronary arteries is a common finding on CTs done in middle aged adults. It doesn't mean you necessarily have blockage but you have the milieu to develop it so be warned. ...Read more
