Herbal Treatment For A Baby That Has Dropped Into The Pelvis
My baby's poop is a bit orange in color, this started showing up this week when she started taking Tiki tiki drops for babies. Not sure if this is due to the carrot juice based veggie drink she's taking or due to the baby drops... She's doing ok, lively,
Either/ or: Poop color can reflect the undigested food coloring in what you feed them.If you have a good time line and know it is one or the other, you can either stop them or not. I don't think the color of the poo makes any difference if the kid is thriving. ...Read more
My infant son has blisters on his testicles. What can be thereason for it? Please suggest some treatment.
Have to see it: A lot of infants are born with something called "pustular melanosis", an innocent newborn rash that looks like small pustules that rub off and turn dark over the next few days. They last a few weeks to months in color, then fade. If it's not that, then the pediatrician should look at it right away. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
My infant son has a red ring around his circumsized penis. It seems to bother him a little. What could be the cause or treatment for this?
Irritation: Generally some redness around the remaining skin on a circumcised penis is a local irritation, with a local skin infection also a possibility (so many bacteria in the perineum!). The best thing to do is use water to wash the area (no soap or wipes), and put some a and d or even a little antibacterial ointment on the area). ...Read more

Is liquid melatonin safe for a two year old autistic child who has problems going to sleep? I want to use an herbal treatment, this was recommended by a pediatrician, but have read articles stating not to do so....
Melatonin: Liquid melatonin is safe for kids and a great idea for kids with sleep onset problems (kids who cannot fall asleep). Dose can be anywhere from 3-10mg. Some kids need it an hour before bed, some kids need it up to three hours before bed. There are also teas with melatonin if your child doesn't like the liquid. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Increased pressure: You will notice increased pressure feeling low down. It may feel like you have to pee all the time and then you only go a few drops and also may put pressure on rectum, feeling like you need to poop. However, the best way is to keep your doctor visits towards the end of pregnancy and the doctor can actually check you and assess the position and station of the baby to see if he or she has dropped. ...Read more
I'm 36w6d pregnant . this is my first pregnancy ..how long after baby drops i go into labor ? (he hasnt dropped yet )
Temperature: this is not a common occurrence. But also depends on what you mean by "drop suddenly". And how the temp is being measured. Fevers (temperature above 100.4F) can drop fairly quick after giving a medication like acetaminophen. Other serious medical conditions like sepsis can cause a drop in temperature. More information is needed to better answer your question. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Confused a med with ambroxol with baby drops for eye and put the med on her eye baby cried alot, will it damage her eye?
And it sure burns i tried.
It Can: Direct contact of ambroxol with the eye may cause transient discomfort characterised by tearing or conjunctival redness. Slight abrasive damage may also result, so i would recommend seeing an ophthalmologist. Also, there may be other chemicals in the medication that could irritate or damage the eye. Take the medication with you to the eye doctor. ...Read more
I am 36 weeks pregnant. Ultrasound showed 6lbs1oz. My fundal height is measuring 35 cm. It's been perfect until now. Is this normal when baby drops?
It seems OK: You and your unborn baby appear to be doing well. If "the baby drops", the head becomes "engaged" into your pelvis and the baby's kick count remains good..., your odds of keeping your pregnancy "perfect", of going into normal spontaneous labor after39 weeks and delivering a healthy baby seem very good. ...Read more

I am 36 weeks. Ultrasound showed 6lbs1oz. My fundal height is measuring behind at 35 cm. It's been perfect until now. Is this normal when baby drops?
Could you describe how if feels when baby drops? Do i literally feel a 'drop?' if i'm on bed rest, how will i feel dropping? Or only when up or walk?
What does it mean when the baby drops? I heard that this is a sign that labor has started, but what does it mean?
Your : Your fetus’s head tends to hang out in the upper part of the pelvis until the baby gets close to labor, at which point, the fetal head drops into the lower part of the pelvis. The doctor or midwife can feel this on external exam, because the head is no longer wobbling around above the fetal bone but has dropped down below it. It can also be assessed on pelvic exam as “station, †meaning how far down the baby has dropped. You may also be able to tell if the baby has dropped because your belly may change shape. So what does it mean if the baby drops? Usually it means the baby is getting ready for labor, but the amount of time between when the baby drops and when labor begins varies. If the baby drops prematurely, you may be put on bed rest, but that still doesn’t mean labor is inevitable. However, when the baby drops at full term, in combination with painful contractions that become regular or a broken water bag, the time is coming. Keep in mind that mothers who have given birth many times may go into labor without having the baby drop until the cervix is almost fully dilated. But if the baby drops and it’s your first, it’s a good sign that the time to meet your baby is approaching. ...Read more
Does it make a difference being first time mom or not to the time between baby drops and labor starts ?
What happens if baby drops from fetal growth percentile in 4 weeks but is still within the 10 and 90%? Is that a reason for concern?
No concern: The ultrasound measurements can vary from one test to the next. In the last month or two of pregnancy, ultrasound "guesses" about baby's size and weight can be off by quite a bit. It is not perfect technology. As long as the baby does not drop below the 10th percentile it should be fine. It sounds like you are being followed closely, which is good. Good luck. ...Read more
