Fiber: If you want to waste your money on herbal ibs treatments, try to pick some with a lot of fiber. Many herbs are drugs with little if any data to support their use, no fda oversight, no monitoring of side effects, no standardization and are sold to unsuspecting folks at huge mark-ups. St. John's Wort: St. John's wort 300 mg taken 3 times a day has long been recognized as a natural treaent for depression. Other natural remedies include 5-htp 200-300mg taken 1-3 times a day. Try taking this at night, initially. Then increase the number of times taken during the day as needed. Nutrition & exercise: First, go see your family doc. Make sure your thyroid is normal. In fact, make sure you're otherwise healthy. Then focus on nutrition (and exercise). Not sure what medications you've tried in australia but no studies show herbs & teas to be useful in weight loss.
