Can hep b/c transmit between 2 men having anal sex & both men r uninfected with hep b/c? That is can anal sex between uninfected person cause hep b/c?

No: If every one in the group having anal sex is truly not infected at that time, no one would get hep b/c. There is only such test for HIV (Oraquick®); I don't know about the others. For all of them, be aware it takes time for the test to be reliable after a possible exposure. For HIV/Oraquick, it's 3 months. ...Read more

Tx the pt, not the #: The numbers you present, don't mean much to a physician because it lacks clinical context- why was the test done in the first place? Are you on meds that can affect your WBC counts. More troubling is the prescription for silver colloid. Though silver has antimicrobial features, there is no definitive benefit whatsoever from "silver syrup" or other silver liquid forms. ...Read more

Repeat it: Alk phos fluctuates and some young men run high especially if it's non-fasting. Your transaminases ALT/AST are a tiny bit high and usually the first step is to repeat the labs off alcohol. Silymarin / milk thistle is worthless in this situation and you should get a screen for Wilson's (urine copper), autoimmunity (ANA etc) and hemochromatosis. Consider getting into physical fitness seriously again ...Read more
