Sometimes I have occasional bright red blood on toilet paper? Anal fissures, hemorrhoid or should I be more concerned?
I occasionally find blood on toilet paper after having a bowl movement. Its not a lot, just enough to notice. Could this be any more than a hemorrhoid?

Unless you have a strong family history of colorectal cancer, you can relax about that diagnosis for now. If you have not been feeling well, experience BM urgency, you should be checked for colitis. ...Read more

Hemorrhoids are just like varicose veins (swollen and bleed when irritated). See your doc for an evaluation if bleeding becomes more severe. ...Read more
