BRBPR: This may just be hemorrhoids from straining but bleeding from rectum (brbpr) may also indicate anal fissures, proctitis (due to infection, inflammatory bowel disease, radiation therapy, stercoral ulcers, rectal prolapse, trauma, etc.) or a bleeding source further upstream. Not at this time: The incidence of colorectal cancer is very low under the age of 40, and stats for 19-39 years of age for women are 1/1400 and increase dramatically between age 40-50 to 1/140. Unless you have a strong family history of colorectal cancer, you can relax about that diagnosis for now. Yes: Hemorrhoids never go away on their own. They just lie dormant until something irritates them (hard stool or difficulty pushing stool out) and then they can bleed a bit. Hemorrhoids are just like varicose veins (swollen and bleed when irritated). See your doc for an evaluation if bleeding becomes more severe. ...Read more
