Bottle in shower fell on foot and broke the vein, skin. What to do?
Ice and pressure: First step would be to clean the torn skin with alcohol and apply pressure to the vein to stop any bleeding. Second step would be to apply a topical antibacterial agent such as Bacitracin or triple antibiotic. I am not a fan of neosporin. Third step would be to cover the injured area followed by a pressure dressing such as an ace bandage and finally ice to the area. ...Read more

Daughter rolled ankle inwards(soccer)says it feels like there is a crack on outside of ankle under the ball on the outside of foot, growth plate maybe?

Get an Xray: Go to your doctor. An Xray needs to be done to rule out fracture. Even if the Xray is normal, she probably still needs to be splinted and have a follow up in a week. Growth plate injuries don't always show up on Xray. Your doctor can do a complete exam and get whatever tests are necessary. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Recommend avoid offending activities. Using a wrist splint may help rest the painful spot. Anti-inflammatory meds - ibuprofen/naproxe, topical rubs voltaren/flector patch may be tried. Icing should help as well. ...Read more

Some common reasons are infection, tendonitis, gout, joint inflammation and reaction to an insect bite. I recommend being seen in person or virtually for a proper work-up, diagnosis and treatment plan.
