No: If I'm reading you right:you were found at cystoscopy in the beginning of July to have a bladder tumor and TUR of the tumor is scheduled for November.That is a 4 month wait.This would be unacceptable to me if I were the patient. Best wishes. ...Read more

No: The bright red blood may be due to trauma to the bladder or urethra. if this lasts more than two days, you should see your doctor. It would be prudent to notify your doctor of the bleeding now so that s/he may be prepared to schedule a visit for you, if needed. ...Read more

I have had 3 urine tests since August, all 3 showed hematuria and high ketones. One cystoscopy, negative cytology. Is this a concern, or need work up?

Hematuris: The tests are not showing problems. At least no obvious tumor polyp etc. Hematuria though is not normanormal. Talk to your provider although frustrating that no answer unfortunately sometimes problems are not identified even with appropriate evaluation. Possible: you could have small stones or gravel that you might be passing or you could have a benign condition called Ig A nephropathy which gives rise to some blood and protein in urine without any other symptoms it might be a good idea to see a kidney doctor to evaluate kidney function to make sure it is normal ...Read more

It can be benign: Some people are prone to have a few RBCs in their urine. As long as your Bladder and Kidney are checked out to be healthy and free from any tumor or growth, then you can ignore it. I would suggest that you get your kidneys checked out with a CT scan of the abdomen to be sure that there is no tumor there. ...Read more

Hematuria is not OK: Hematuria (blood in the urine) is not OK. If your dad is still bleeding in the urine, you should continue to visit your doctor until the issues is resolved. Microscopic hematuria: It could be a benign condition, Ig A nephropathy or thin basement membrane disease. Make sure bp is normal and kidney function is stable. Other reasons could be other glomerulonephritides, but they usually give rise to protein in the urine. Hematuria: Please go to a nephrologist. Microscopic hematuria can be caused by several factors, some very normal. You need a good urinalysis,microscopic analysis, CBC/metabolic panel, 24hr urine . A nephrologist can tell you if cystoscopy, biopsy, or more tests are needed. Consider switching SIngulair (montelukast). Most ofter with lupus blood in the urine is due to lupus kidney disease called glomerulonephritist which is treated with your rheumatologist and nephrologist.
