A 2-3 years old boy not circumcise can this cause to having uti? And can it also cause having hematuria? At what age should a boy gets circumcised?

Uti associated: Circumcision is associated with significantly reduced risk of UTI . In U.S. Insurance has not been paying for circumcision for last twenty years. In males infections have subsequently increased 5x. Circumcision is easiest performed near birth but can be performed at older ages. Make her an appt...: I would call and get her an appointment anyway. It is not normal for her to experience focused pain like that. Some possible causes include a simple diaper rash in the area that is irritated by urinating. Even without the doctor's appointment, you can look down there yourself to see if you see any redness and treat it as you would a regular diaper rash. Might require an anti-fungal cream from dr. ...Read more

6- mo.-olds learn : some things " by accident". When he reaches up with his hands & looks at your face, respond by smiling & picking him up. He should repeat the behavior, an early sign of social communication. He should regard your face, babble interactively, roll a ball back toward you & show stranger anxiety. 2 recent episodes of gross hematuria. Also 1 episode 10 months ago. No uti, no symptoms, no history of kidney disease. Female age 23. What could it be?

Hematuria: You need to be evaluated by a Nephrologist in-person. It could be related to IgA nephropathy, other glomerulonephritis but UTI still needs to be ruled out. Urine can seem to contain gross blood at the time of menstrual period. ...Read more

22 year old male. I've have gross hematuria for months now with some clots in the urine. I've had neg cultures, ct and cystoscope. UA had protein?

More testing: You are "spilling"'out protein and blood in your urine. A CT scan is helpful in ruling out major structural caused and large stone, the urine analysis ruled out infection, the cystoscope would evaluate for abnormalities of the bladder. Other considerations would be systemic problems such as a coagulopathy or inflammatory condition, lupus being an example. If all those tests neg, consider biopsy ...Read more

I am 28 years old female. I've had hematuria on and off for 2 years now. I'm 96.5 lbs. What am i going to do with my hematuria?

Hematuria: You need to see a urologist. Hematuria (h) is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It could be coming from your kidney, your bladder. You need to have various tests to diagnose the cause. A renal ultrasound, an intravenous pyelogram and if these do not give you the cause, a cystoscopy where the urologist looks at your bladder. I doubt that you have a UTI and you need a urine culture to see if you do. ...Read more

My 16 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with ooomedullary nephrocalcinosis she has continued pain and hematuria. what test should I request. ?

Nephrologist: Trust the doctor who diagnosed to select appropriate tests or referrals to a specialist. It would be a mistake for a non-trained person to do that. But you certainly can ask for a clear explanation of the condition and step-by-step process of Dx and Tx - what to expect and watch for, etc., etc. Best wishes for a good outcome! ...Read more

1 occasion of gross hematuria, no symptoms, urinalysis came back negative. Age 23. Should I push for further investigation? What could be cause?

Might not be urine: Ive seen many cases of women in the emergency department mistake blood in the urine with vaginal bleeding. It can be subtle. Medications like macrobid and pyridum also commonly change the color of urine and can be confused for blood. Renal and bladder stones can also cause bleeding but usually cause pain. You might need further tests if it reccurs. ...Read more

I have both microscopic hematuria and mucus present in my urine. I am a 30 year-old female and terrified I have urachal cancer. How likely is this?

Urachal cancer: I've only seen a handful of urachal cancers in the last 20 years. It would be very unlikely. Speak with your urologist. You may need to have an examination of your bladder with a cystoscope. Best of luck. ...Read more
