Make her an appt...: I would call and get her an appointment anyway. It is not normal for her to experience focused pain like that. Some possible causes include a simple diaper rash in the area that is irritated by urinating. Even without the doctor's appointment, you can look down there yourself to see if you see any redness and treat it as you would a regular diaper rash. Might require an anti-fungal cream from dr. ...Read more

6- mo.-olds learn : some things " by accident". When he reaches up with his hands & looks at your face, respond by smiling & picking him up. He should repeat the behavior, an early sign of social communication. He should regard your face, babble interactively, roll a ball back toward you & show stranger anxiety. I am 28 years old female. I've had hematuria on and off for 2 years now. I'm 96.5 lbs. What am i going to do with my hematuria?

Hematuria: You need to see a urologist. Hematuria (h) is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It could be coming from your kidney, your bladder. You need to have various tests to diagnose the cause. A renal ultrasound, an intravenous pyelogram and if these do not give you the cause, a cystoscopy where the urologist looks at your bladder. I doubt that you have a UTI and you need a urine culture to see if you do. ...Read more

My 16 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with ooomedullary nephrocalcinosis she has continued pain and hematuria. what test should I request. ?

Nephrologist: Trust the doctor who diagnosed to select appropriate tests or referrals to a specialist. It would be a mistake for a non-trained person to do that. But you certainly can ask for a clear explanation of the condition and step-by-step process of Dx and Tx - what to expect and watch for, etc., etc. Best wishes for a good outcome! ...Read more
