Maybe,maybe not: Some of the bruises over bony prominences (shin, hip, etc) form a calcified (bony) mass that can take months to gradually resolve. Clots tend to break down and be absorbed into the vessels servicing those tissues. Your pcp can examine and see what this is doing.
