Unlikely in young: In a young person, it is unlikely. In an older person (>80 years), the patient may have a chronic subdural hematoma. As we get older, the brain "shrinks". There is more potential space between the brain and the dura. Thus, small, often times unnoticed bumps on the head can tear the bridging vessels, thus leading to the sdh. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Injection site pain: Depends on how it looks but there is a fair amount of the hormone injected into the muscle (enough for 12 weeks worth of contraception). If there is no redness you could wait and see and get checked out by your nurse/doctor/sexual health clinic during the day. I got an injection near my anus.its been one month.the hard site of injection is still there.why it take so long to dissolve.no pain.hematoma I doubt.
Hematoma: I would feel that this is an organized blood clot from bleeding at the injection site. Often fibrosis sets in and the firm nodule won't dissolve even after warm applications. If these clots are painful or tender, they would have to be removed by minor surgery. A general surgeon or proctologist can evaluate it and advise you. ...Read more

Tincture of time: Bruising is a common side effect of a needle puncture. It does not imply any need for a change in the treatment for your kidney infection. Bruising can occur from any trauma, such as bumping your arm. If you can apply pressure and ice immediately, you can minimize the size of the bruise.
