Neuro/psych assessmt: Have your son evaluated by either a behavioral pediatrician or pediatric psychiatrist/neurologist. Receptive language: has tto do w/the ability to process/understand what is being said to your daughter. Expressive language has to do w/her ability to make herself known/understood w/language. Dysregulatoin: Many children with an underlying dysregulated behavior pattern and 'melt down' frequently, are subject to many medications but do not respondwell. The underlying problem is problem with an excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate. None of the meds you list work on that transmitter. Yes: Mirtazapine or Remeron (mirtazapine) is used for anxiety but there are many others that may work better for you. If you haven't been on any other med, then it may be best to switch as opposed to adding on. There are many family of meds that are not addictive and can work quickly.
