Height Predictor Based On Current Height
Simple measures: Expected height from parent stature is equal to the average parent height (m+d/2) + 2.5 inches for males, -2.5 in for girls. Grandparent height is not used but may point to variations in accuracy of the method. This is only a basic predicted height. Some very tall or very short people come from normal sized parents, & a life's medical & nutritional issues can slow the growth of anyone. ...Read more

I work out a bit and also do 15 minutes of bike cardio every 2 days, but I'm having trouble losing my belly. I need a food plan based on my height.
Most people reach max height in late teens w/o nutritional problems and chronic childhood illness height based mainly on genes. Wat do yu mean by that?
Can anyone provide a weight/height based chart for common drug dosages: Aleve, Ibuprofen, etc.?
For adults, they are standard doses based usually on a 70 kg man.
Always best to look up doses and double check them each time anyway. ...Read more
I'm looking for an Ibuprofen and Aleve dosage chart for adults based on height/weight. I'm 6'4, 200 lbs and standard dosage doesn't cut it. Thank you!
Standard: There is no benefit for taking more than 600 mg 3 times a day or 500 mg 2 times a day even for a person of your size. If the NSAIDs are not helping consider adding acetaminophen or seeing your doctor about another agent. Taking NSAIDs at high does come with risks so it is best to minimize your intake or use for short periods as needed. ...Read more
If a dad is 5'10 and the mom is 5'5 what would be the final height of the kid they have not based on genetics but simply the parents height?
Odd question: A prediction based on biological parental height is relatively good because it relies on genetics. Why you think it would not is puzzling. The male offspring are the average of parent height + 2.5-3 inches while females are the average -2-5-3 inches. If the parents have adopted the kid, their height has no input in the final outcome. ...Read more
Mri says mild desiccation, slight loss disc height at l5s1, broad based central left sided disc protusion which abuts s1 nerve roots l5. Please explain?
Where the: Nerve roots that are going down your leg where there is a protrusion are getting pressure and that is probably where the piano is from. Surgery probably won't help but steroid injections into the area of pressure might. If that fails surgery might be a last resort depending on how bad the disc protrusion is. I have seen them take out the disc if all conservative management has failed. ...Read more
My dentist says based on my teeth size I will be over 6' im 5'7 with my mom at 5'6 and dad 5'10 my dentist right? Can u base height on your teeth?
Never heard of teeth being used to predict height. If that's the case, then all tall people would have large teeth, and all short people would have small teeth... you know that that isn't correct, right? Double your height when you were two years old and that will be your approximate height. Here's some more info:

This question makes me smile. I am the shortest in my family. There is no wishing more growth. There is no appropriate medication treatment to make you grow taller. At 17 there may still be an inch or so, but it may be time to accept that your genes that give you life are also giving you a moderate height. ...Read more
Exercise, eat, sleep: Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a person nor his doctor can do to increase height. In rare cases, growth hormone is approved for use in younger, extremely short kids. ...Read more
Depends: There is no correct height. Most height is determined by genetics and there is no way to change that. Environmental effects like poor nutrition and use of certain meds. Or severe illness can stunt growth. Some endocrine conditions can also have negative impact on height. Height: At your age it is unlikely that you will grow any taller as the growth plates in your long bones are most likely closed by now. If you have been 170cm for more than a year or so you can be pretty sure this is so. However, X-rays of your hands can be done to determine what is called "bone age". If by chance your bone age is younger than 19 then you may grow a bit more. ...Read more
