Doctor insights on:
Height Increase After 30
Exercise, eat, sleep: Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a person nor his doctor can do to increase height. In rare cases, growth hormone is approved for use in younger, extremely short kids. ...Read more

Hi I am 18 and 5'10" and I am taking calcium for height increase. Is it helpful? Please I need some advice. My friends in same age are 6'1"and higher.
Won't help: 5'10 is a fine height for a guy. A little taller than average. At age 18, you're almost certainly reached your maximum. Shorter men are more agile, and it's a plus for several sports, famously gymnastics and climbing. A man seeking a friend is likely to choose a shorter guy, and you can be wiser and funnier without being disliked. Your fitness / musculature overrides height & you control it. ...Read more

Perhaps: It is difficult to say if your height will increase. Usually late in adolescence (16-18) development is usually nearing completion. Perhaps you might grow a few inches in the next couple of years. But no one can tell. You could look at your parents and make a rough estimation of your final height by calculating the midparental height (inches) = (father height + (mother Height +5))/2. ...Read more

My age is 22 years. Can my height increase after regular exercise & if possible please tell the exercises to be done and is it right to take medicines?
Not for height: Homeopathy can help whatever the body can do. If your growth plates are still open, you may still grow -- once closed, there is no further increase in height because that is your body's natural process. At 17, your growth plates may already be closed -- thus, homeopathy would not help you grow beyond this. ...Read more
Unlikely: Growth centers in long bones determine how tall you can grow. Most growth centers will close at 16-19 years in males. After that happens, you are done. If your growth centers are open, a balanced diet/rest ; healthy physical activity will support good growth. Their are no special diet or exercises that make you taller. ...Read more
Can my height increase with the help of exercises or by any aurvedic medication which doesn't have any side effects?
May be too late but:
I am sorry to tell you that most men stop growing around age 18- but occasionally some will grow until age 21 or so. Taking measures to increase your production of growth hormone might help, but if your growth plates have closed (like most 18 yo's) then you've reached your max.

Can IGF-1 be as effective as rhIGF-1 for height increase in children? And how is IGF-1 lr3 different from the two above?
Growth: IGF1 is the effector protein of growth hormone. rhIGF1 just means it is synthetic. IGR IR3 is an analog, which should work the same way. The most important question is why is this being given, and has the proper work-up been done. Is there GH or IGF1 deficiency? If not, is this just being done to (maybe) add 2 cm in height? See a Pediatric Endocrinologist. ...Read more
Hi, good evening. Recently we had buy Yoko Height Increaser, is their any side effect will come to utilize this, or tell me some suggestion to height increase.?
They don't work: Height is determined by a number of factors- none of which are affected by devices, nutritional supplements, exercises "designed" to stretch you, etc. Your genetics & normally functioning hormonal systems are all you need (oh, and a normal skeleton) to grow as tall as you will be programmed to grow. Read the complaints of the device you bought, blisters, pain, and no results & EXPENSIVE! ...Read more
Sir, what is the last age of height increasing? Can height increase after 21 in males. Can any HGH supplements work on height after 21?
21-22, very rare, no:
Most men stop growing between ages 18-20 though there are rare cases of growing at 21 and very rarely at 22. But the odds of growing after 21 are quite small, as usually the growth plates of the bones have closed. Once the growth plates have closed then HGH can not help to increase height.

Would taking fertility drugs for IUIs (unsure if had HGH in them) cause height increase? Would effects be fairly immediate or long term like yrs later
Hi I'm fifteen and 5, 7. Is there anything I can take with a significant height increase with no side-effects later in life? My parents approve. Thanks
Naturally raise HGH:
Most men stop growing around age 18- but some grow until age 21 or so. You may only grow another 1-2 inches but may grow several- much depends on your genetics. Follow a healthy diet and take a good multivitamin- low zinc can limit growth. Try going to sleep by 10 pm. Taking measures to increase your production of growth hormone can also help.

What other than a pituitary tumor could cause a noticeable height increase in adults? I noticed a growth spurt around age 38 & then another at 41.
Doesn't actually...: Height growth due to increased growth hormone does not happen in adults because their growth plates in their long bones have fused. That means any perceived increase in height would not be related to any presumed or actual pituitary tumor in an adult over age 25 or so. ...Read more

Not likely: Supplements that tend to promote growth, wt loss and muscles building are usualy a gimmick and meds/supplements purchased online are not usually regulated so ingredients may not be what they claim or contaminated. Short answer is no, don't bother. Once the growth plates close anyway which happens in puberty for women you can not increase height. ...Read more
