The purpose is to tell what the problem is (diagnosis). ...Read more
Normal: It's VERY important to get a colposcopy if your pap is abnormal. A colposcopy is a speculum exam where special stains and magnifying lenses are used to look for pre-cancers on your cervix. If there are abnormalities, your GYN will take a biopsy, which is uncomfortable, but lasts ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
After a cervical biopsy over a week ago i had sex when the bleeding stopped. It started again and has continued for 6 days. Help cramps, abdominal fever and consistant bleeding. Is this normal?
Vaginal : Vaginal bleeding after sex is often caused by the friction of the penis rubbing against the cervix, so the bleeding is not surprising following your biopsy. However, the cramping and fever are much more concerning symptoms - especially lasting for almost a week. I'm concerned that you could have an infection. You should call your ob/gyne (or the doctor who performed the biopsy) right away. They may want to examine you to determine the cause of your symptoms so that you can have the right treatment. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hysteroscopy/ endometrial biopsy/ d&c 2 weeks ago. Minor bleed 3 days + 4 days spotting postop. Now heavy flow. Period, or problem?
Likely okay: When a woman has a d;c it usually removes her lining. So long as not soaking a pad in 1-2 hours or less, likely okay. If you're already anemic, however, or have other medical problems, you might want to go to the er to make sure that you're okay. Heavy flow in and of itself, doesn't really describe how much bleeding you're having. You can always talk to your doctor or whomever is oncall. ...Read more
No post menopausal bleeding but endo metream 6mm. Had biopsy on Monday and no bleeding after. Today 4 days after biopsy slight spotting after running?
ER is severe : If you are having pain 10/10 this means you feel you are dying and are in agony. Usually 10/10 is related to gunshot wounds broken bones and other trauma. If that is true then you should be in the er now. If you were exaggerating and now feel fine schedule a visit with your obgyn and discuss the work up for endometriosis. ...Read more

Possibly: Its not uncommon to have a heavy period after uterine surgery such as Myosure. Bleeding from uterine biopsy and polyp removal ten days after procedure. Is this normal? Not sure if starting a normal period now or still bleeding ?
Hard to tell: It's possible either way. It might be normal to have some bleeding/spotting after removal of polyp and biopsy of uterus. Likewise, it could be your period. If it's time for your period, then that's what it likely is. Wait another month and see if next month's cycle is normal. Hopefully doctor called you by now to tell you everything's normal! ...Read more
