I have been diagnosed with GERD but have had shakiness, fainting, and lightheadedness for years, thought it was low blood sugar. Is there a connection?

Mixed symptoms: If you feel that you should go to ED then no one will tell you not to go. Otherwise symptoms are suggestive of spinal stenosis but you are atypical category as a young female. I have gerd and pots. If my gerd acts up my POTS does 2. Especially if I eat chocolate. I get chest bubbles, palps, lightheaded when I stand Up. Why?
Vagus nerve stim: The symptoms you are describing in regards to eating chocolate are most likely causing some distension in your stomach and small bowel leading to stimulation of your parasympathetic nervous system (main nerve being Vagus nerve) which can worsen your POTS. Unlikely: I would see a doctor about the swollen glands and lightheadedness. Unlikely related to hh. Hiatal hernia and acid reflux could cause the esophagus to spasm or even develop scar tissue and narrowing. This would cause the feeling of food sticking or catching. Cardiac workup: Chest pain accompanied by nausea and belching may represent heart disease. A normal resting ekg however is not sufficient to exclude heart disease. An exercise stress test and an echocardiogram can help assess for blockages and structural heart disease. Heartburn: Please see a physician (p). Your symptoms of heart burn could be due to hiatal hernia, gastritis or an ulcer.
