Typical? No: ...but it certainly isn't unheard of. Many women have abdominal complaints which seem related to their menstrual cycle. I would recommend that you consider omeprazole or ranitidine for as many days as you need it each month, and then get off of it in between. Yes: These could be signs of early pregnancy. Additional signs are nausea, sensation of abdominal bloating, dull lower abdominal cramping, sensation of fullness in the breast, and backache.

In case this turns not to be pregnancy, it could also be symptoms preceding onset of menses, sometimes called premenstrual syndrome.

Talk to doc but: First you need to take the Pantoprazole 30-60 mins before your first meal of the day. There is also concern that chronic use of this type of drug increases the risk in getting pneumonia and possibly traveler's diarrhea.
If taken only when heartburn starts, then a Histamine 2 reverse agonist (Pepcid, Zantac) may be more appropriate. ...Read more
