Not sure how to explain it but here are symptoms More indigestion than Normal ( I have GERD)more bowel movements in the last two days. No diarrhea.
On holiday a couple months ago was advised to take 3 capsules of 25mg activated charcoal for mild stomach upset diarrhea could this have aggrevated my GERD have had alot of burping since and acid vapour at night.Doing all the usual for GERD ideas?

Maybe. see your doc: Could be lots of things, including crohn's, celiac sprue, parasites, bacterial infection, dietary causes, meds, etc. Depends on duration of symptoms, history, physical, labs. Sometimes I have loose stools, but can also have formed. Indigestion and gas after dinner. Blood on tp at times. Does this sound like cancer?

See a doctor: This could be one of several conditions but you would need thorough evaluation before reaching any definitive conclusions. Could be reflux esophagitis creating the abdominal discomfort and sore throat, in which case might be Helicobacter pylori infection, although this should not generally create diarrhea. Gastroenterologist: He may be dealing with an irritable bowel syndrome as well as gerd. Have him consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation, diagnosis and proper treatment including dietary advice as well as avoiding alcohol, caffeine,nicotine and harsh roughage. Yes and no: Fibromyalgia is not a real well understood disease. It typically involves the muscles and fascia rather than causing joint stiffness. Wait: Blood in stool if red is probably lower GI in region of rectum or left colon. This would be unrelated to GERD or chronic diarrhea. On this basis there is no emergency unless massive bleeding.
